About RBUP in English
The Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Eastern and Southern Norway (RBUP) is a foundation established in 1998 by the Ministry of Health and Care Services.
The RBUP Centre is dedicated to research and post-graduate training. One of the main aims of the Centre is to contribute to the development of clinical multidisciplinary scientific knowledge on child and adolescent mental health. Important tasks are
- to conduct research
- to stimulate mental health research by supervision and research training
- to ensure that the clinical activities in the child and adolescent mental health field build upon research-based knowledge.
Research areas of priority:
- Treatment research and evaluation of clinical practice;
- Research methods for use in systematic clinical practice;
- Epidemiology. The catchment area is Eastern and Southern Norway. RBUP currently comprises a core group of about 50 persons, including teaching and research faculty, postdoctoral fellows, PhD students, and administrative staff. RBUP consists of The Department of Education and the Department of Research.
